While There's Nothing Wrong with Love is my favorite, Keep It Like a Secret is probably a better place to start as it's more representative of their overall sound I think.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I agree Keep It Like A Secret is the best starting point.

Where to start with Pavement? So far I like Cut Your Hair and I think Range Life is decent.

I loved Keep it Like a Secret.... I gotta drag that out and listen to it again some time soon, a great album, indeed!

Default I need help discovering music

I do not have satelleite radio for reasons beyond the subject of this post and do not listen to FM radio for reasons beyond this post. Regardless of my reasons for choosing not to accept these forms of media, my decisions have made it difficult to discover new music I like. There was an age when FM radio stations used to kick ass, but those days are dead.

I really enjoy the music from the 1980's and 90's, but am only aware of the mainstream bands. The following is a list of bands I currently have in my collection. If anyone can suggest a band that belongs in the list that I may have not even heard of, I would really appreciate it. I'm looking for some good music to add to my collection.

AC DC
Beastie Boys
Black Sabbath
Cypress Hill
Dio
Guns N' Roses
Korn
Led Zeppelin
Megadeth
Metallica
Ministry
Nirvana
The Offspring
Pantera
Pearl Jam
Slayer
White Zombie
Rob Zombie
Sepultura
Stone Temple Pilots
System of a Down
Danzig
Rage Against the Machine
Type O Negative
Prong
Soundgarden
Blue Oyster Cult
Rush
Alice in Chains
Ozzy Osborne
Aerosmith
Queen
Primus
Nine Inch Nails
Marilyn Manson
Anthrax
Tool
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Deftones
Queensryche
Stabbing Westward
Judas Priest
Cypress Hill
Eminem
Ramstein
Pink Floyd
Van Halen
Disturbed
Reverend Horton Heat
Smashing Pumpkins
Scorpions

What bands do I need to add to my list??? I need something I have not heard before (notice I did not use the word 'new').

Default Looking for more music like this...

on youtube, go to watch?v=2J8aAt4PaDk (Won't allow me to post a link if I have under 15 posts >.>)

The song is great, but there's one section he does that just blows my mind. It starts around 4:55 and stops around 5:53, where he is just humming incoherently, but sounds incredibly angelic and beautiful. Then he starts singing "this land is my land" which also sounds incredible comming from Dave Matthews, and I wish there was a full version of haha.

So does anybody know of any songs by anybody that might sound something like that one section, at least in some part of the song. If anything comes to mind while you listen to that let me know.

Thanks
