Although what the fuck this has to do with the ting tings is anyone's guess.
Are they that band who i saw you scrobbling on Last FM who did Stones covers? I'm really curious now.

Also something that pisses me off a bit: Someone always has to mention The Black Keys everytime someones talking about the Stripes. They're not even THAT similar, let alone anywhere as good!

They recorded the whole of Exile On Main Street in a garage and released it on a home made cassette. It ranges from shit to unlistenable noise.
But it's a lot of fun

19 : Earth Song

I dislike a lot of songs for a lot of different reasons.

They might to too pompous , too overblown , too preachy , too much of the artists ego , too sappy , bland , over produced , annoying , pretentious , distasteful or many other different reasons.

I can honestly say Earth Song is the only song I have ever heard that I hate for ALL of those reasons , and probably a lot more too.
This isn't an anti-Jackson thing , I think he's made some worthy tunes. But only someone surrounded by yes men in his little bubble for so long could even begin to make something as egotistical as this rubbish. I don't think how ever hard anyone else tries they'll never release an abomination of a song like this. The whole subject matter and the way it's written about just makes me want to throw up. And thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you Jarvis Cocker for showing the sheer ridiculousness and tastelessness of this ego fuelled dirge at the Brit awards and turning the whole performance into the bad joke it was.
To me this is the worst song ever written in my lifetime and I hope I never have to hear something that even begins to approach how awful this song is again.

Look we already know this , we know this because The Beatles just happen to be THE MOST WELL KNOWN POP BAND OF ALL TIME. I don't need to be reminded of it every fucking 5 minutes.
Damn...how'd I miss this? What's worse than over zealous Beatles fans is anyone who doesn't like the Beatles.

Good, cos I was serious. It'd be nice to see a linked index at the start of the thread when this is finished.
If that's not too organised for the likes of you?

Interestingly enough I've never even heard of that song. I just looked it up on Wikipedia and found out that it was his biggest single ever in the UK but only released as a b-side in the US. It's weird how stuff like that happens.
