The first CD I ever owned was N'SYNC: No Strings Attached.

My second was Nirvana: Nevermind

I know, I know.

Wow, that's pretty anti-mainstream for a first album. Usually everyone first get's into music from a really popular song or album.

My dad loves the Monkees, and that has definitly influenced me. The Monkees actually had good music too, from that album 'Take A Giant Step' is my favorite.

My dad had a few Wallflowers tracks on his computer (cuz he's a fan of Bob Dylan, and he wanted to hear his son's band), and I liked them, and I was talking with my neighbour who is about 6 or 7 years older than me and he pulled this CD out and gave it to me.

It was pretty popular when it came out though. It's a 2x platinum album. However, none of my friends have heard of The Wallflowers, except for one close friend of mine.

Yeah that's what I meant. Usually it's extremely popular N'SYNC or Led Zeppelin. My parents both despise Bob Dylan incredibly, solely for his voice. I can't even explain my compliments to Dylan because they cut me off in lame impersonations of his voice.
