Talking Heads—Fear of Music

This is an amazing album but I wish the song "I Zimbra" wasn't on it. It's not that it's a bad song, it's pretty decent, but I just don't think it works with the feel of the rest of the album. It think it would've fit better on Remain in Light.

Oh! And I have another contribution: Synchronicity by The Police. I'm thinking of the song "Mother." I really don't know what they were thinking - may someone enlighten me?
I honestly can't pick a true favorite from the Stone Roses album. Made Of Stone is the only one I'm less than enthusiastic about, and even that one has its virtues. Sugar Spun Sister took some time to grow on me, but now I adore it (pun (?) unintended).

Good call with Synchronicity. I'm not too wild about Walking In Your Footsteps or O My God, but Mother is just plain awful. Why Sting let Andy Summers contribute songs (don't even mention Behind My Camel) is beyond me. But man, side two of Synchronicity is just about perfect!

Two more:

I just can't help thinking that Let's Get It On would be much better without the title track and the pointless rehash (Keep Gettin' It On). The other six tracks are just about perfect.

XTC's Oranges & Lemons is a bit iffy, but if some of the production flourishes were toned down a bit and it was cut down to a single album, it really could have been something.

San Tropez has no business on this masterpiece.

I must strongly disagree. After Fearless, I think San Tropez is the best song on the album. I think Echoes is overrated, and seems to be a Animals style track that doesn't reach its full potential.

Nah, Echoes really doesn't fit in the same vein as Dogs, Pigs, and Sheep, which are riff-driven (albeit very long-winded). Echoes builds an atmospheric tension before it releases it in the coda. I don't think it's overrated at all.

San Tropez really doesn't fit with the album. It's a fine track, but it's obvious it wasn't structured to fit with the rest of the songs (Waters wrote it before they went to record the rest of the album).
