Question Bob Seger

When i suggested that a member put Bob Seger on their oldies list, it occurred to me that i haven't seen any mention of him...

Does no one really like him???

Or has he been overlooked?

Bob Seger for the win.

Segar talk is sort of obscure on here. Night Moves is a fantastic album, and overall I am a fan. Michigan native and has assembled several excellent bands in his time. Overall there are some tired classic rock standards a cheesy ballad type number here and there but most of his stuff is very pleasing to the ear.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

I'm really only familiar with the really well-known Bob Seger songs. It's not stuff I'd go out of my way to listen to but some of it isn't bad and his songs definitely carry a sense of nostalgia for me. What's his lesser known music like? Similar sound to the hit songs or no?

His mom lives in my town, I've driven by her house before. I don't think this music is anything terrible, but then I can't say I've ever sat down with the thought "I'm in the mood for Bob Seger right now."

Just one of those neutral artists for me.

My father was a huge fan, so I've heard of Bob. He's pretty awesome, can't beat the older mellow rock sound. Sitting in a bookstore and Seger coming on is one of the best feelings.

Sometimes its just perfectly normal to just sit back and listen to inoffensive soft rock, and Bob Seger performs it briliantly.

Ain't it funny how the night moves when you just don't seem to have as much to lose?
