For all the Yorkies out there, it should be noted a lot of people find Thom's voice grating and annoying.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

They put Kurt Cobain way too high on their guitarist list too.

On the Beatles note, I've always liked Paul's voice more than John's.

Now that I'm more used to it I do like Thom Yorke's voice, but I wouldn't say he's one of the greatest ever.

C'mon guys, these lists are always, always bull****.

I disappointed that there is no Maynard or Jeff Buckleys higher up on the list. And as always am baffled by the vocalists that get high places... Kurt Cobain?

Exactly what I was about to say. They're decent enough pointers if you're just looking to get off the ground as a music collector/follower, but that's about the only purpose they serve

Then again, Gillan isn't on here either.

I'm a bit surprised that so many people question Cobain's inclusion. In the early-90s, I read a lot of articles about how Cobain had the best voice of his generation. I'm not sure I agree with that, but I didn't think his voice being great was a terribly controversial belief.

I wasn't really questioning his inclusion at all, was just questioning its placement on the list considering it was quite high when there are some much better vocalists out there who were positioned much lower than Cobain, or who didn't even make the cut.
