No Mike Patton? Jeff Buckley #39, David Bowie #23? Nah, that list fails completely (in my opinion of course)

The absence of Mike Patton was the biggest fail ever. But Rolling Stone is always disproportionately kind to pop and RnB artists.

I was happy to see Tom Waits there at all, but I can't imagine he got there by popular vote. Editor must have sneaked him in.

I was somewhat surprised to see Mary J. Blige there. Christina Aguilera as well but she probably deserves to the mention seeing how when she actually tries to sing, her voice is pretty amazing.

His fan base is an opressed minority. Their going to vote for him regardless of the the catagory is for, their pissed he's undersold.

As for the list, Rolling Stone still wants to pull away from bands they precieve as being played in Pick-up Trucks.

As Sam accuratly pointed out, RS is still fighting for civil rights, voting for McGovern, and reversing their decisions. The reporting is decent, but their lists are making up for past sins.

Where are Burton Cummings and the ABBA girls?

Burton Cummings is an obvious ommision.

This list is pretty standard and awful if it's in order. Aretha Franklin...Really?

She over sung 1/2 her songs.

It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.
