Am I satisfied with the decade that pumped out what is likely my favorite era of music? You bet.
|
Im most definitely satisfied. I agree with Dac.
|
I have to say no.
Most of the music around today just does nothing for me (with a few exceptions of course), compared to music from say the 80's or 90's. Most music today is just a rehash of old ideas and is going nowhere in my opinion. |
Hey then what are the absolute whoppers of this decade? Foxtrot Hotel, Is This It, Beck stuff...anything else? I say this because I haven't heard many albums from this decade so I am unsatisfied...I need to find these albums :D
|
Just like any decade, as said, crap under rubble.
The funny thing is, everyone says how easy it is to get access to music nowadays... Well IMO it has helped the old gems a lot more than it has new music overall. People spread the love of golden oldies quickly on music forums, and its easily accessible without trudging through all the crap of previous decades. In a few years, people will be showing off the stuff they found at the start of this decade, and it will spread like wild fire... I HOPE people here aren't suggesting they found all the great music they like the first few weeks after it came out... Coz I would smell some BS :p: :D |

This Decade is an incredible leap forward for music. gets more interesting every decade. |
Yeah, I only think of homogeny when I look back.

It's been an alright decade for music I suppose. Some killer, some filler, but it's pretty much the same for any decade. I vote yes then...
|
Yeah, I'd say I'm pretty satisfied.
I listen to a lot of stuff that was before my time, but I've also, over the past eight years, discovered a lot of truly remarkable music that is singularly particular to this decade. There's been some bad, of course, but certainly not enough to overwhelm the good. |
