Early 2000s was trash but it think its getting better. Rap is finally starting to die out

Rap is'nt dying out. How absurd. It still churns out plenty of chart crap but the underground scene is as healthy as ever.

I see it dying. The hit radio stations are playing more Rock and less rap. i dunno...just seems to be less of the hip thing to be listening to now. But i agree, underground is thriving

I don't think it's anywhere close to dying. Anytime I see any current top 10 or top 40 list or whatever there's usually a ton of rap on it, it's not going anywhere any time soon.

I think there's plenty of good music out there today. Alot of the mainstream stuff out there is utter crap (with some exceptions, such as Coldplay), but I really dig alot of today's underground bands, such as Arcade Fire, Interpol, The Dandy Warhols, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, ect....
