It's not a requirement to hate Madonna if you want to like Kylie Minogue. They both make great dance music.

Kylie's trilogy for me is Fever, Body Language and X.

Do you have any reason to hate her? Serious question. What is it you hate about her so much?

I dont think an explanation is really necessary.

If we can debate the Beatles and Radiohead for 600 pages and threads, I think I can ask for an explanation about Madonna. This is a forum. "**** you, Madonna" is a pretty visceral reaction to her name being brought up, so I asked about it.

Only about 30 years of overexposure.

Maybe it's like the Captain Beefheart vs. Zappa thing or the Lou Reed vs. John Cale thing. People seem to like one more than the other. Then again, maybe not.

Seriously, I have nothing against Madonna per se. I just find her a little preachy. Kylie just wants you to take her on the dance floor and get all sweaty, then take her home and prong the sh*t out of her. I can relate to that. Like a drug.

Related to my love of Exploitation films, the Disco Version of the theme to Caligula (The film starring Macolm McDowell, Teresa Ann Savoy, and Peter O' Toole Produced by Pentouse) certainly ranks up there with my Guilty Pleasures. Tasty Musicianship, though!
