Default Album Presale Promo Ideas & Incentives?

Hey..I have an album coming out soon and I would like to encourage customers to preorder it.Do you guys have any ideas or techniques that you have had success with as far as motivated customers to preorder new releases? What kinds of incentives have you used? How well did they
work?

Thanks!

Stephanie

I do.
I actually just pre-ordered the new (hed) P.E. CD a week or two ago, because it comes with a free Autographed poster, stickers, and collectable EP.

fair enough. but as you say, the reason you pre-ordered is for everything other than the actual album.

Well, that, and the CD has all three versions.
I ended up getting all three, which will probably cost 15 dollars or so each, in stores.

I got all of this [The Three Versions of the CD, The Poster, The Collecter EP, and the Stickers] for 36 dollars [after shipping and handling]

The three CD's themselves could have cost 45 dollars, had I not pre-ordered.
