Is this music? - Teenage Fanclub
This makes me religious, and it's a very cool break from the usually slacker songs that TF play. The guitars are just heavenly.
Peaches En Regalia - Frank Zappa
There is no song that makes me happier than this one. It's just concentrated euphoria, absolutely stunning.
Here Come the Warm Jets - Brian Eno
Oddly otherworldly, quirky. Features two drum sets that are off time, and then syncronize, and probably the best guitar line played with the best guitar sound ever. The song gives me a mixed feeling of melancholy, loss and some sort of bittersweet optimism. I guess the contrasts are what I like.

Want to know something?

I think I recognized about two of the songs listed in the entire thread.

I'm going to look them up now.

Way to make me feel like a n00b, guys.

=P

FaSho 01-03-2009 03:41 PM

Aww.

Check out mine first ;)

Arya Stark 01-03-2009 03:44 PM

I listened to like one of everyone's and didn't really hear anything I liked other than Arctic Monkeys.

Okay, FaSho, checking it out now.

Arya Stark 01-03-2009 03:49 PM

FaSho, I like your three. [=

The Blaqk Audio one the most.

FaSho 01-03-2009 03:58 PM

Blaqk Audio are AMAZING. I wish they'd make another album, because their debut doesn't have any songs that I would skip.

Casimir 01-03-2009 04:10 PM

Commerce City Sister-DeVotchKa

Imitosis-Andrew bird

FaSho 01-03-2009 04:13 PM

God. That's the only Page France song I've heard but it really good.

It seems like you don't really expect that everyone should like these songs, but that you WANT them to. I mean, it's kind of obvious that not everyone likes the heaviness of hard rock and metal, that's why you don't see Between the Buried and Me in my post.

Arya Stark 01-03-2009 10:47 PM

Sometimes the heaviness isn't likeable, but the meaning is?

>.>

I don't know.

FaSho 01-03-2009 10:54 PM

French Immersiob By Cancer Bats is a track everyone should love, the metallness had nothing to do with it. It's just a great song.

It seems to me like a song that expresses the essence of hard rock/metal, but I guess we see it differently.
