I'm curious...if you feel King Crimson outclassed even Pink Floyd's best stuff, why is Pink Floyd one of your three faves, and King Crimson isn't?

If you are referring to that ancient post where I listed the ten albums that got me into music, then that has nothing to do with my opinion now. All I said was that Pink Floyd was the group that got me interested in seeking out music; I never said they were better than other bands I started listening to afterwards.

Basically, they make good songs but for just about every good song they have a sappy political one.

I have no idea what post you're referring to. I'm referring only to the post I responded to. Since this thread was supposed to be about "taking shots at your favourite band" and you listed three bands, I assumed that they were (roughly) your three favourites.

Also, it was simply curiosity, not criticism.

Andrew Bird

You're starting to bore me (particularly the latest album).

Cursive

Thanks for making me wait for Happy Hollow when only 2 songs are worth a damn. Also, the album cover for Domestica is awful. So thanks again, this time for offending my eyes instead of my ears.

OH! *facepalm* Well, someone already dissed King Crimson, and since I happen to like a lot of bands, I just picked a few that seemed conveniant.

I've just never been able to get into it like I have with Can't Buy a Thrill, Pretzel Logic or Aja. I probably need to give it a bit more of a chance though (in which case I retract my previous comment about it)
