Haven't sprung for the album yet but Album 2 by Louis Cole looks interesting.

I just love the feel of this song...a little twangy, but not too much. It's got a nice bluesy country vibe. The lyrics completely contradict the feel of the music though. :/

^ Definitely like that song :)

Loving this one from his new album as well

I've grown to really like these guys. I used to think they were a bit to repetitive for my taste. Surprise, they're amazing!

There's some excruciating crowd over-excitment but it's a good live album and the Around the sun songs, well some of them, hold their own. I'm gonna re-visit that album.

So nice.

And for each one of you that press play, then stop the video after a couple seconds... you're a sad, sad person. Unless you genuinely had important business to attend to that needed immediate attention.

Youthanasia is great. Didn't like Cryptic Writings.

I love Risk and Endgame, though.

I've currently got the Red Dead Redemption OST spinning on my turntable. Can't post a link to it, but you can find it easy enough on youtube. If you like western type scores, you will enjoy this :)

Charles Mingus - Original Faubus Fables

I've been listening today to some songs by Peter Gabriel after his and Kate Bush's song "Don't Give Up" went through my mind. (I see Kate Bush was just mentioned in this thread).

I remember I had one of his tapes when I was 18 and listened to it repeatedly, so I must have liked it. I think my favorite song of his is "Red Rain." I also like the hopeful message of "Don't Give Up" even though I don't particularly like the music or the lyrics.

I learned something rather horrifying today about my ability (or lack thereof) to put two and two together. Somehow I had completely overlooked for all these years that Peter Gabriel (solo musician) is the same as Peter Gabriel from Genesis!! And I've even seen him in concert! :o:

I feel amused (and a tad foolish) that I have overlooked this fact for so long. I just never realized they were one and the same, maybe because their music sounds so different to me.

PETER GABRIEL - "Red Rain"

PETER GABRIEL - "In Your Eyes"
