Selena Gomez & The Scene - Love You Like A Love Song - YouTube

Unfortunately, I only watched half of it. My youtube went very slow today.Sigh.

Putting "Skelethon" and "Labor Days" on shuffle was a good idea. Awesome contrast between his more abstract and contemporary styles. Have always liked listening to Aesop on shuffle actually, considering I have played his material so much it brings a whole new feel.

Bic Runga : Sway - YouTube

I'm currently listening to the American Pie OST. This album brings back some great memories of watching this movie when it came out.

very underrated old school death metal
it's sort of like Demigod, if that means anything to anyone.

The Batlord 09-08-2012 09:01 AM

I was giving The Strokes a listen for the first time, since so many people go on about them, but I got bored pretty quick and decided to check out The Hives instead. Good decision. :band:

Props for finnish death metal. Not listened to these guys as much as Demigod or Convulse, but Finland produced some amazing death metal back in the day.

I'm listening to Blood Money after some mention of it in a thread, and it is a fantastic album. Mr. Waits has not served me wrong yet.

RIVAL SONS - BEFORE THE FIRE (2009)

Listening to this because my mate is going to see them in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if I wanted to go with them.

I'm only 4 tracks in and so far, in places, it has sounded like decent enough blues that I could probably get into and would, at least, be fun live. As I type this though I am listening to a track called 'Angel' that sounds tired, outdated and recycled. Pretty awful.

So only time will tell with this band, I feel.

I'm loving the static, melancholy feel to this. Even the moments of random glitchiness, which I think would ruin the mood for some people, just work for me for some reason.

Started listening to this in my dreams of perhaps being able to make it one day :(

Plan B? That guy that made a retro Soul album that sold a shedload despite being crap? That guy who is now in the film version of The Sweeney? That guy who I never gave the time of day to until I heard this?

It's a brilliant track from a brilliant album. Hat's off to the man.

This is the one off the best of, right? I rarely hear this because I don't have the best of, I didn't need it. I always enjoy listening to it, whether it be this version or other versions, it really is a lovely song and Buckley covered it well.

The first time I heard Buckley cover it, it was as part of a medley with Hallelujah.

And speaking of spectacular covers performed by Jeff Buckley...

That one gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it.

Mojo 09-12-2012 05:16 AM

And now I'm listening to Jeff Buckley too.

This is my favourite Buckley EP, and a great sample of his live performances. Includes a fantastic version of Van Morrisons The Way Young Lovers Do at 7.26.

Sepultura are known as a death/thrash band, but this was definitely pure first wave black metal. Raw, primitive, and ****ty sounding as ****, and I love it.

wasted days

I'm listening to Yuck, Cloud Nothings, Japandroids, Tribes and Tom Petty amongst others.
