Putting "Skelethon" and "Labor Days" on shuffle was a good idea. Awesome contrast between his more abstract and contemporary styles. Have always liked listening to Aesop on shuffle actually, considering I have played his material so much it brings a whole new feel.

RIVAL SONS - BEFORE THE FIRE (2009) Listening to this because my mate is going to see them in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if I wanted to go with them. I'm only 4 tracks in and so far, in places, it has sounded like decent enough blues that I could probably get into and would, at least, be fun live. As I type this though I am listening to a track called 'Angel' that sounds tired, outdated and recycled. Pretty awful. So only time will tell with this band, I feel. |

Sepultura are known as a death/thrash band, but this was definitely pure first wave black metal. Raw, primitive, and ****ty sounding as ****, and I love it.
