Some songs have the ability to serve as a conduit to an island off the Atlantic, where I don an accent and bandy about a football in front of 80,000 people while saying "with me mates" all of the time...on my way to a championship. All before it's discovered that none of it was real.

Yeah, there's such a thing as making a cover version that is so over the top and different to the original that it actually makes you wish they hadn't done it. And guys: ten minutes (eight on the studio) when the original song is about three or four??

I've been listening to Red Headed Stranger to an extent that I usually reserve for Ke$ha albums. It helps that it's an engrossing concept album on several levels while not being as pompous as most concept albums. One song leads to the next, and the next, and there's just no good place to turn it off.
