Goodwill...Two dollars...CD in great condition.

To those who have not heard this...WARNING: HAS NO SONGS OR VOCALS

Seriously a great soundtrack for traveling through ghost cities that were once thriving industrial centers, actually.

"My week beats your year" - Lou Reed.

The new Grapes of Wrath album. Jangle pop/power pop.

djchameleon 05-11-2013 09:31 AM

Just found out about the Deconstructed EP which is Kesha stripped down focusing more on her vocals.

Whu-huh? I've found some hidden gems at thrift stores, but Metal Machine Music? My brain would have done a back flip out of my head, danced the Macarena on the linoleum floor, and then retreated back to my skull under withering German machine gun fire in disbelief.

Picked up the Bats By Night EP when it was reissued on vinyl for Record Store Day this year.

Best of the b-52's cd.

Blarobbarg 05-12-2013 04:48 PM

Listening to this monster at the moment. My version is over half an hour long, but I couldn't find that version on Youtube, so enjoy this one, which is about half of that. Still, awe-inspiring, beautiful, chaotic, madness-instigating jazz.

Well, I could have done that, but the store was closing in quick time, so a short "HELL YEAH!!!" was made with a little victory scoot before I made the way to the register.

wub wub causing orgasms!

Fleetwood Mac - "Rumours"

one of my most loved albums.

The Batlord 05-13-2013 09:18 AM

Always have to listen to this at least once every month or so.

crazed 05-13-2013 09:44 AM

On a Bjork kick lately.

One of the few metal bands who has a sound that's actually unique. A sadly rare thing.

Goofle 05-14-2013 09:25 AM

Might be my favourite off the album.

sdorviadesko 05-14-2013 09:58 AM

I've been sleeping on Snakes for the Divine for a while now, but it's impressed me so far. Matt Pike is fucking God.

crazed 05-14-2013 12:42 PM

Daniel Johnston's "Space Ducks" cd.

The album, or song?

The Batlord 05-15-2013 10:26 AM

I love me some dance pop, but it's hard to sift through the gigantic, world threatening mounds of utter garbage to find an artist who actually has some level of consistency beyond a few good singles. Kylie Minogue is looking like a new favorite of mine.

Edit: I also wouldn't mind if she sat on my face.

Album. There isn't much else to compete with that level of heaviness.

crazed 05-15-2013 03:50 PM

Love the desert blues sound. Tinariwen's Tassili album is a favorite.

The cover arts just too wicked to not listen too.

This randomly came on a friends ipod last night while we were hanging out on a lake dock. I danced like I have never danced before. Alcohol was involved. I don't even like John Butler Trio that much.

djchameleon 05-15-2013 10:15 PM

One day I listened to an hour loop of this song, it was pure bliss.

Money don't matter if it feels for you
Money don't matter if you're hah hah hah
Money don't matter if it feels for you
I used to worry everyday
Now I got better things

The Batlord 05-16-2013 09:30 AM

I've never really sought out Madonna, but I'm now being won over.

I don't even smoke weed and I love that cover.

Frownland 05-16-2013 09:37 AM

Cecil Taylor is ****ing incredible.

Anteater 05-16-2013 09:40 AM

The original summertime jam. On this particular live, the keyboardist goes feral in the best possible way on the last two minutes, so tune in!

ribbons 05-16-2013 10:12 AM

Don't know why I didn't get into Robert Wyatt's music ages ago. What an amazing artist.
