Here's a very gentle song by Ben Cocks, a guy I've never heard of:-

It turns up in the Netflix/Polish mystery series "Signs", which as I'm sure we all know is spelt "Znaki" in Polish.

(also just enjoyed elph's Skeleton Crew rec. )

Skeleton Crew is one of the greatest bands in history and the compilation with both their albums and a bunch of boss bonus tracks is required listening.

Thanks, grindy!
I'm currently discovering that for myself by trawling through youtube for their various songs, and will watch out for that compilation you mention. Loving everything I'm hearing so far, which includes these 2 tracks, even though Zach's Flag sounds almost normal:-

I'll join in the Skeleton Crew hype: I hadn't listened to them before but the song Elph posted is fantastic!

no joke I learned about Skeleton Crew at 3am while talking to a Walgreens employee because Austin still harbors us closet freak music fanatics in the most unlikely places

was thinking about starting an avant type group with the guy

Sweetie, I'm pretty sure every city harbours music fanatics in unlikely places. That's great though, randomly running into cool people is a lovely thing

Have you listened to any other Fred Frith projects? Massacre, Henry Cow, Art Bears, solo stuff, etc?
