Aaaah... Salzburg...

We need to chat! Have you had any works performed etc?
Was Karlheinz still working on Licht when you met/studied with him?

Yes, many over the past decades. Concentration these days is mostly on recordings and installations (audio/video/text) and some digital art/online projects.
Yes, Ka was finishing up the last years of Licht and had finished most of Klang.

Multiple reasons for listening. second track reminds me of Silent Hill. I like listening to eerie ambient tracks when writing short stories. It's completely different from what id listen to when in the car going or coming home from work. :)

I'm having trouble comprehending most of what they're singing, but I'm starting to dig Sleater-Kinney

I don't know if Death to Tyrants crosses over into metalcore, but regardless it's still a top 5 hardcore album for me. Sick of It All know how to mix mosh anthems and fun like a mofo.

They're coming to Virginia Beach in July (like 20-30 minutes from me) so apparently I am as well. I'm guessing you're going to Charlotte on the 6th?

Yeah I was just looking it up and... maybe Warped Tour would be fun? There's a lot of garbage though. I mean I can dig After the Burial and Hatebreed, but ****ing Emmure and Carnifex? ****ing woof. The Adolescents would be pretty awesome though. But other than that it's a sea of **** I don't know or don't care about.

cKy, Strung Out, and the handful of hardcore groups are the main reason I've even considered going. For 50 bucks, it's hard not to justify it for even just cKy.

What's the good ****? There's a pretty horrendous concert schedule around here for the next ever (although Code Orange and Negative Approach are also coming in July). So even if I have to deal with a bunch of tween scene ****heads it might be worth it for a few bands of any note.

I'm way too emotionally attached to ****ting on Frownland at every possible opportunity to ever give his music an honest chance. But that doesn't change the fact that every time I've tried I've regretted it.

Frownland 04-27-2017 12:53 PM

You've unknowingly repped my music in the past, Bat.

I used to dig a bit of Anti-Flag as a kid but haven't listened to them in years. Haven't listened to much Valient Thorr, but I saw a clip of them that made them look pretty wild live about... ten years ago I guess. And I don't even know if I want to see GWAR without Oderus. I saw them during I think their last tour with him and they ripped. Too bad it was at a bitchass venue that wouldn't let them go all out with shooting **** into the audience. I'll check out the rest though.

Okay, so far CKY are horrendous,, Valient Thorr are just kinda dull, and Anti-Flag aren't fun enough to make up for the cringe. On the plus side, Anti-Flag are just below Angry Samoans in my punk folder, so now I'm having way more fun with that.

He's Portuguese. Teaches in Lisbon.
Young guy who's played with Dave Liebman
and some other notable people.
Stylistically different than Pinhas.
Closer in style to Tisziji Munoz.
