Been diving into all seven LPs of Tom Waits' Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards box set. The problem with a set this good is that you get so caught up in disc 1 that you don't get a chance to explore the rest of the collection.

A few favorites from the first two discs include two short poems and two gorgeous blues tracks.

New Foster the People. Not bad at all.... Very excited for their next album!

Mike Patton's tribute or continuation of the work of Italian futurist composer "Luigi Rossolo", great album:

At a coffee meet-up with a fellow-Rochesterian the other night, we reminisced about oddball obscure 90s singles which were station favorites on the city's alternative music station, WBER.

Among the bizarre favorites was a track I hadn't heard since 1995. There was only one search result on Google - a little write-up someone did with an uploaded VHS rip of the video from RageTV out of Boston. I instantly stole it and uploaded it to YouTube for my WBER brethren to enjoy.

Here's "The Pope Does Not Smoke Dope (Even If He Should)".

File under: Not quite The Primitive Radio Gods.

The guy in the thumbnail kinda looks like what would happen if David Byrne and Peter Gabriel had a baby.

These guys were playing at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night (I did my first shift as a security guard at the venue) and I thought they were really good. This is probably the best song I have found on the tubes so far.

My brand new HD650 cable (I use HD600s).

The last one managed to survive for 4 years, and the HD600 stock only lived 2 years. Here's hoping for 4 more years folks.
