The hell? I've always been indifferent to Darkthrone, and listening to Transylvanian Hunger the other day didn't really do much for me either, but A Blaze In the Northern Sky seems to have enough death metal influence that I can actually latch onto the songs. Who knows, maybe Darkthrone are actually worth the hype.

2 Many DJs - Saturday vs Billie Jean

SOULWAX / 2MANYDJS - Souljacks : Saturday vs Billie Jean - YouTube

Because whether you're sitting indoors writing an article on a rain-soaked evening like I am or, I dunno, being president or something, there's never a bad time for 2 Many DJs!

Ketty Lester had an amazing set of pipes, but she only had one hit record to show for all her talents. Love Letters was a big hit way back in 1962... Director David Lynch used the song in the soundtrack of his movie Blue Velvet in 1986. An instrumental version of Love Letters has been used to close the end segment of the television show Saturday Night Live, every since it's network debut in 1975.

This is great, but I already drank chamomile tea and this is putting me to sleep... not in a boring way or anything, it's just super relaxing.

And here I thought that FOAD was Darkthrone's first foray into first wave black metal, but Panzerfaust is the best album Hellhammer never made. And even though I've never been the biggest DT fan, I've still loved their vocals, but they're extra awesome on this album.
