This is making me feel better, slightly, but still... I feel if I take this sound with me and leave everyone I know behind I'll do something amazing.

Today, when I was bringing up Ornette Coleman's death to my coworkers since it was one of the few things on my mind, I found that only one other person in the office knew who he was. Some kind of recognized the name but still had no idea. If you are one of those people, you need to listen to this to help you understand why Coleman was ****ing brilliant and why us jazzcats are so distraught over his passing. Then go listen to the rest of his discography (as if I needed to tell you that).
