I would have to go with Tom Waits.

Jeff Buckley...from the ones who haven't left us I'd say Antony Hegarty, Nick Cave and Morrissey

Mark Lanegan of The Screaming Trees comes to mind. He has a really unique voice and really 'creates' a certain sound that goes so well with the band. Alot of people compare to Jim Morrison and the already mentioned Tom Waits, and while he may bare slight resemblence to either one. I feel he remains unique and creative.

I forgot about Tom. He's another that really knows how to use his pipes.

Always thought Danzig's voice was pretty badass in everything he's done.

Also, Spence Moody from the Murder City Devils has a very unique style that I always have to try to imitate whenever they are playing.
