I think I'm gonna go. I've got exams that week so I don't know if I will make it, but I really want to see Metric.

nope. it started in the late 90s as muchmusic's answer to the warped tour. i like how they never once went east of ontario (if it did it's long after i stopped paying attention). it's not like there are 5 other provinces on that side of the country...

the 'edge' was about being 'edgy' and 'alternative'.

Actually, it started in 1987. It's not related to Much Music - the edge is for Edge 102.1, the local "alternative" station.

I haven't been to Edgefest in years but I had a good time every time I went. Tool headlined in 2001!

Heh yeah, it's cool. I think I kinda remember that too - they had specials where Strombo went and interviewed bands there, yeah?

possibly, i had stopped watching by the time strombo became a regular. sook-yin lee and rick 'the temp' were the main talking heads for those events.
