A bit harsh saying noone supports Scottish music. Franz Ferdinand and Mylo and have a fantastic year and Scottish music gets a lot of support from Radio 1. They even let a scottish student radio station have their own 2 hour slot on xmas day of which 50% of the music was from Scottish bands.

Oh behave yourself. You call yourself a Scottish band? Well you don't seem to know much about your local music scene, haven't you ever heard of Arab Strap, Sluts of Trust, Smog, Camera Obscura, Belle and Sebastian, Delgados, Ballboy, The Reindeer Section, Fire Engines, Biffy Clyro, Trashcan Sinatras, Sons and Daughters, The Mull Historical Society, The Beta Band, The Grim Northern Social and Snow Patrol. Not to mention the aforementioned Mylo and Franz. There's a thread on Idlewild too.
There was no need for that comment, Scotland has a thriving and very much supported and supportive music scene. |
