Blogs dedicated to music are a great way to find unsigned bands, but even browsing Myspace will probably turn up results.

Myspace is pretty word, about two years ago an unsigned band called Cymbals Eat Guitars randomly friended me, and they were pretty good.

these days many bands of all different genres have a myspace. if anything it's one of the first things a band does before they even play a show.

actually if amplify it by about 1000% you can hear a drum beating about every 40 seconds (along with a lot of noise)

I actually quite enjoy the message of that piece. Anybody can expiriment with it, you just turn off the music and listen. The sounds around you really start to come alive.

there's some good bands in the underground scene in here

those are my 2 favorites if anyone's interested [I don't think anyone heard of them, tho they got some good reviews from the eastern Europe metal magazines]

this one called VOID
My Playlist by Void on MySpace Music - listen to songs & purchase MP3s

and the other is Kimeara ... a bit more popular

YouTube - kimaera-among the dead

YouTube - Kimaera - God´s Wrath (Death-Doom)

YouTube - kimaera-in a dying embrace
