Heh heh. I could have fun with this, but, um, don't have time.

I'll just concentrate on one song here as I'm sure most people have heard of Johnny Cash and the Beatles anyway. No explanation there, I think. (I HOPE)

Born To Be Wild-Steppenwolf-

1. #129 on Rolling Stone Magazine's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time"
2. #53 on VH-1's "Best hard Rock Songs Of All Time"

Both the 45 and the resulting debut album went RIAA gold, then platinum.

Time's up-goodnight now!

as i said nothing that interests me

i actually enjoy many of the artists in your post.....but find most of those songs to be dreadful....

i'll give steppenwolf their due respects sure.....but i find that song especially annoying and overrated.....although if i remember right in that song they coined the term "heavy metal"

personally i don't merit greatness by what some stupid magazine of tv channel tells me is great.....nore do i really feel album sells mean much in defining my personal taste

I listened to Sevendust in earlier years, they had some pretty decent songs. That is not one of them. I wouldn't touch anything else on that list to be honest.

Sam Cooke - Meet Me At Mary's Place
Johnny Cash - I Still Miss Someone (Live from Folsom Prison)
The Naked & Famous - Young Blood
Dead Prez - The Pistol
Jimmy Eat World - Pain
Defeater - Beggin' In The Slums
Elvis Costello - Different Finger
Zebrahead - Over The Edge
Manic Street Preachers - All We Make Is Entertainment
Burial - Untrue

That Andrew Bird song is my favorite of his actually, also love the Okkervil River song. Not a huge fan of Saves the Day although I feel I should get into them more, can't stand Madonna or Journey. Bowie is very respectable.

Boris Smile - The Battle Of Miss Little
Fruit Bats - Beautiful Morning Light
Elsinore - Chemicals
Tunes For Bears To Dance To - Paradise Is Very Nice
The Strange Boys - The Unsent Letter
Mane Horse - Damn Pajamas
The Love Of Everything - Birds, Ice Cream and Whales

Tigers Jaw - Never Saw It Coming
Jim White - Take Me Away
