I feel like I should really listen to Ornette Coleman, especially considering I'm trying to beef up the jazz in my library. I'm kind of ambivalent about GY!BE... Maybe I just haven't given them enough of my time, but I find it really draining to listen to their music.

Olivier Messiaen - Préludes pour piano: I. La colombe ("The Dove")
Kuedo - Flight Path
Shining - You Can Try the Best You Can
Iron & Wine - The Rooster Moans
Metric - Front Row
Satoko Fujii & Tatsuya Yoshida - Ayentanams
Medeski, Martin and Wood - Take Me Nowhere
F.S. Blumm & Nils Frahm - Licht-Teil
Animal Collective - College
Animal Collective - Peacebone
Cold War Kids - St. John

An unusually regular shuffle by your standards. Love that bolded tune. Also, that Screamers song is pretty swell.

Ok, let's see here... I've heard of every group on that list except for Years of Rice and Salt (who, interestingly enough, seem to fit pretty snuggly into my tastes based on the tags they have on Last.fm). I've heard the most of Sigur Ros and Nujabes on that list, the latter of which in particular I feel obligated to give a high-five for.

Virus - Gum, Meet, Mother (Carheart)
World of Oz - Mandy-Ann (The World of Oz)
Grouper - Come Softly (A I A : Alien Observer)
Andrew Bird - Fitz and the Dizzyspells (Noble Beast)
Planningtorock - Black Thumber (W)
The Octopus Project - Catalog (Hexadecagon)
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Seeeds (Start A People)
Final Fantasy - The CN Tower Belongs to the Dead (Has A Good Home)
Demdike Stare - Of Decay & Shadows (Voices of Dust)
The Shins - So Says I (Chutes Too Narrow)

I'm always a sucker for Owen Pallett, and that song in particular is one of my favorites of his.

I totally dig me some Owen Pallet and extra cool points for the Black Moth Super Rainbow and Octopus Project, but most of the rest of your list really isn't my style.

Ides of Gemini - The vessel and the stake
Red Sparowes - As Each End Looms and Subsides
The Third Eye Foundation - Standard Deviation
Black Tusk - Fatal Kiss
Tom Tall - Stack-a-Records
Fleet Foxes - Heard Them Stirring
Impatient Outpatient - Lucid Dreaming
Mirah - Mt. St. Helens
Chad Vangaalen - Echo Train
Gil Scott-Heron - Lady Day and John Coltrane
