I'm afraid I'd get in trouble for having to consecutive posts with facepalm pictures but...yeah.

I think when it comes down to quality and originality, it would be Sigur Ros, but this is a very hard question to answer subjectivley.

And Sigur Ros certainly didn't come out in the past 10 years. Oh what a great band they are though.

Aww fuck, for some reason when I read ten years I thought 1996.

I love u All of mike pattons bands IMO are badass

Eh I hardly bother with most modern music, but TV On The Radio certainly are nice.

I think we should have a poll.

Definitely Circa Survive

as for 'anonymous' i find i have to be in the right mood for it. for me it's best at either the start or the end of my day.

in regards to Patton and his direction. who knows haha. i've been hearing rumours that there's a new fantomas disc in the works which is apparently a full-on solo endeavor. quite enjoyed his soundtrack work in 'crank2' as well (best part of the movie i'd say haha)

I agree the Crank2 soundtrack is really awesome. I've only played it from start to finish once but have heard most of the tracks at least 3 times while shuffling. IMO that's the better way to enjoy it, since it's a soundtrack and not really intended to be an album...the large quantity of short tracks with ideas that aren't always developed can wear on you for a whole album's length.

Anyway I heard that about a new Fantomas too...which IMO kind of sucks if he's gonna do it solo...not because it wouldn't sound good but because Fantomas has been a band up to this point, why change that?

Agreed. But how to decide the choices?
