I'll try not to end up like that.

Any human being can physically rap, but the vast majority of people in the world can't scream, growl, or pig squeal as is necessary in death metal. So death metal takes a lot more skill to do in every way.
That's a very ill-informed view. I don't listen to much hip-hop but saying that anyone can do it and that it takes no talent whatsoever is complete rubbish. Programming beats isn't as easy as it sounds, it takes lots of patience and focus to get a beat that sounds good. As for lyrics and rapping, well, i'd like to see you try. Nobody's gonna pick up a microphone and expect to sound like Chuck D.

There's some fantastic pop out there and some fantastic metal, too.

Metal isn't really my thing, but Ben Folds/Five is god-tier pop.

If you think money didn't control things in the past you're insane.

Neither, if you really appreciate music then you should appreciate all music. There are some exceptions but not entire genres.

I like metal, I like pop. Both.
Of course some pop singers who has better outfit than voice aren't so much my taste. But I think that not all pop has to be commercial thing. I think some metal is commercial too.
I don't listen to MTV so I find my music mostly on internet and I don't care if it's commerical or not. I have some artists with 100 000 listeners and some of them only with 1 000 listeners.

I don't like this thread. It's a bit silly.

TBH, i'm not really anti either.
I don't really like either, but i don't nessecarily hate either. As with all genres, there is good and bad. IMO both of these are have more bad than good. But that is probably how every genre is for everyone.

I don't enjoy most the top 40 pop e.g. that fireflies song. But i enjoy small amounts of it. E.G. blackfield, The Killers, Kaiser Cheifs

I don't most metal because a lot of the vocals are to growly/screamy/yelly/death. But I also enjoy some metal - e.g. the few Porcupine Tree songs which are a bit metal and in small doses I can enjoy Mastadon.
