Well I'd say there's a bit more going on musically in most Bob Dylan songs than in Revolution 9. At least Dylan, you know, uses instruments.

Didn't talk about Revolution 9, I was talking about She's so Heavy, or many other post-Beatles John Lennon songs, where the influence of Dylan is too obvious.

And who said Music needs instruments.

Oooh ok. I misread your post . But I still like Dylan songs more than She's So Heavy. I think it's because Dylan provides great lyrics without the overworked melodies, but the lyrics in She's So Heavy are nothing special.

Well yeah, they are literally 6 words... already said in the title.

I want you ... so bad ... she's so heavy ...
Not much work on the lyrics, still doesn't mean it's a negative point.

To me it's a negative point, because as I said in Dylan songs the big selling point is lyrics, or else I would hardly listen to him. In She's So Heavy, as you said, there are six words repeated over and over.

I disagree with a lot of your post, but you deserve kudos for putting your back into it, so I won't hold it against you

Particularly this bit. Hello Goodbye's easily one of my favourites from Magical Mystery Tour, not because it's vapid bubblegum pop, but just because the melody, chorus refrain and that weird little guitar effect are all great in my books, enough so that the fact that the lyric's effectively just McCartney juggling two words around takes a back seat. I absolutely love Blue Jay Way as well.

Why not? I don't think She's So Heavy sounds very much like any electronica I've heard.

It doesn't ... just not much lyrics.

Jeez that wasn't really my point. I don't always need lyrics in songs, I just meant that I listen to Dylan mainly for the lyrics, and since you compared She's So Heavy to Dylan I said that doesn't want to make me listen to it, because the lyrics consist of six words.
