Orphans... is clearly the best Tom Waits album this side of Mule Variations.

Played it non stop for 9 years and i'm STILL not bored of it.
I don't think anything else comes close to it to be honest, Kid A wishes it was this good.

^Is it anything like Screamadelica or Riot City Blues? Cause that's all I own by them, and I love those albums, but I've heard their style differs like crazy.

It's nothing like either really, But saying that you can see that it's still the same band.

If it's any help Kevin Shields of MBV was one of their guitarists at the time so it's probably the noisiest most feedbacky Primal Scream album.

There's all sorts on that album, Electronica, Krautrock, Hip Hop, Jazz, Punk, even Bhangra.

It's well worth a listen if you like any of their other stuff.

i still think this album is better than Screamadelica. Accelerator might be the greatest anything anywhere. i think Keep Your Dreams is fairly rubbish though, i really hate it when Gillespie tries to play his hand at ballads.
