I definitely agree with the bolded part. I think she sounds good...maybe even cute? (Would they be pissed if they read that?) Punk girls are just hot sometimes...

Sorta off-topic but...she might only be the second hottest female punk lead though. She'll never rival Brody of The Distillers for hottest sounding punk chick...her voice just isn't gravely enough. See for yourself:

The Bikini Kill album was terrible. The Distillers on the other hand are the shizz.

Writing this very late review while hearing the Bikini Kill album. It does sound very interesting all around, very fun like, though not too much interesting. Though I feel it is one of the bands that I should have known a long time ago, so I don't mind listening to them.

The first two (Statement of Vindication, Capri Pants) songs are really interesting to hear back to back, as both can get your energy rising in record speed. However the third (Jet Ski) kind of ruins the mood, specially with this full stop, when there's still a full minute into the song. For a two and a half minute song, it does seem to linger on. Not much change into the fourth song (Distinct Complicity), it even has that same full stop a minute into the song. The album seems to be revived with the next song (False Start) though, as the style changes completely from what has been heard previously. A smooth tune, with very lovely vocals, stays the strong drums in comparison. The contrast brings the song up, much better than a simple acoustic. And now it's turn for R.I.P, very interesting vocals on that one, very raw. Her voice sounds like it's tearing apart, but then comes that full stop. Though it re-enters in a very nice way, this time it's like a different version of the song, with a smoother, more heartfelt way. The seventh track (No Backrub) brings back the energy, and very catchy tune also. I feel it's one of those songs I see myself screaming along while driving. Though with Bloody Ice Cream, the energy is there, but not much else. The previous energy comes contrasted with one of the slow ones, For Only. I think that's the first one she hasn't screamed in, she's actually singing it smoothly, and I'm really liking this side of her voice too. After nine tracks this album doesn't seem to have much else to offer. The tenth (Tony Rendall) is pretty nice on the ears, so is the eleventh one (Reject all American), but they kind of bored me. As for the last, the Finale... same like the previous too.

I don't think I might hear the whole album frequently, thought some of the songs I'm sure I'm going to give more listens. My favourites are, for now, False Start, R.I.P and For Only.
...And here was my review, as I was hearing simultaneously the album, for my second time.

** Don't forget people:
The second Round, starts this Sunday.

If anyone has any album suggestions, he can still send it to any of us three.

Agreed. The Distillers are awesome, I love them. Brody Dalle is pretty damn cool.

It will be up on Sunday. Why? Do you think we should make the time for submitting shorter? I think we gave it something like five days in total this week.
