Queen was the first band I really got into.

Looking back, it was a good choice ... Freddie and Co.'s eclecticism made me enjoy/appreciate music I otherwise wouldn't have given the light of the day.

Uhm. Well, I suppose it would be U2. I didn't really "connect" with any music until I listened through The Joshua Tree, and then again, and then again and soforth. Before that I would just listen to random mp3s I'd get of the hitlists and such.

Default Difficult answer to a good question

What band or bands first got me into Music.....let me think:-
Roxy Music - Flesh and Blood is a masterpiece, better than Avalon
Earth,Wind & Fire
Human League - Dare....you had to be a brave b*****d to have hair like Phil Oakey's and wear lippy in the Britain of the early 80's.
Ultravox
Japan
Blondie
Michael Jackson
Qunicy Jones
James Brown
David Bowie
Motorhead
Saxon
Whitesnake
Rainbow
AC DC
Boz Scaggs
10CC
and so on..............

I first fell in love with the song Concrete Angel by Martina McBride. She was also my first concert.

Metallica. I was in love for like two or three years, before I finally admitted that they were sell outs. I've never blindly trusted a band like that since.

First band I started listening to religiously was the Pixies. My dad was a big fan and got me into them. I'd still put them as a top 3 band for me.
