What band got you really into music

System of a Down was the first band I really loved and that made me look further into music. Looking back now, that's not a particularly great thing to start with, but they served their purpose at the time.

I have John Peel to thank for lots of reasons, but god bless him for giving me Neil Young and DEVO. And most of all the openness to give everything a listen. But number one in all classes, Paul Weller.

I would have to say Blue Man Group. They're really good percussionists.

Probably Rise Against, they were the first band i loved. Before that i didn't really listen to music and the small amount that i did listen to was just cos my friends said it was good. Then, i heard a song by Rise Against on youtube, i think it was on a skating video or something, and thought, this is awesome, and found more of their songs, and other bands. They are still my favourite to this day.

Although, having said that, they just happened to be the first, i would have become addicted to music anyway, no one band is responsible.

Also, Rodrigo y Gabriela made me want to discover music outside of the boundaries of rock and metal. I now listen to everything from classical to folk to punk to classic rock to death metal.

I've been really into music since I bought my first few cassettes, really.

So I blame The Beach Boys, Europe and Bon Jovi!

Well I started to listen to music in like 5th grade the typical popular bands, blink-182 and Sum 41. But then I got into Nirvana in Middle School so that really got me more into music then I got into more of a punk side and now that's pretty much what I listen to.
