Jeeeesus christ.
It's okay to eat fish because they don't have any feelings.

Nope, any excuse to mention it.
It amuses me that lyric.
I think there's an element of self pity in the their songs, but what's wrong with that? Mostly it's about drugs, alienation, the real, the surreal, apathy. Self pity is just a fraction of what Nirvana were about. Their song lyrics don't have set pattern IMO.

Nirvana and all the other grunge bands were nothing but a bunch of kids who barely knew how to play their instruments. They sounded like very amateurish garage bands.

On the other hand, bands like AC/DC, Van Halen, and Def Leppard were absolute experts at their instruments. Plus they were older and had much more musical experience. They were true serious musicians, not just a bunch of garage band kids like the grunge bands.

There is just no comparison. I think the only reason Nirvana and other grunge bands became popular is because teenage kids liked the depressing whiny no-talent music. It was just a stupid fad that kids liked back then, but unfortunately that stupid fad ended up ruining rock music.

i don't think nirvana were all about self pity. sure, there was some of that, but not enough to warrant the notion that it consumed their output to the point where they were offering no critique on the social state of the world.

i just always thought they were kinda pretty negative and a bit boring. doesn't mean they sucked though. just not my thing.

Lol, fair enough I guess,
And I would have to aagree with that.
And I don't know if Kurt just has a weird way of pronouncing words or if my ears are retarded but in Bleach, half the time it seems like he's just saying random **** so it fits into the song.
Either way, sounds good.

Oh yeah? Well ACDC did nothing but rip off Led Zeppelin, except ACDC lyrics are sh*te.

Hair bands were part of a pretty dumb fad too, so it's pretty interesting that you are using them for comparisons.

So... what you're saying is we all have to be 50+ and extremely serious :| to be considered good music? Last time I checked age didn't matter and it was about having fun and making beautiful sounds with your instrument.

-Sorry, bout the double posting
