No Lyre Of Orpheus eh. That is strange. It's much more chilled out than Abbatoir Blues overall, but still one of his best albums in its own right. Plus it has one of my favourite songs on it in the shape of this little beauty;

Modest Mouse

this is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about > moon & antarctica > lonesome crowded west > everywhere and his nasty parlour tricks > good news for people who love bad news > building nothing out of something > we were dead before the ship even sank > the fruit that ate itself > sad sappy sucker

whew.. i think one or two of those may have been EP's but whatever. that's pretty exact I think

The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society > Muswell Hillbillies > Face to Face > Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround > Something Else by The Kinks

It definitely tops my list - mind you, the Kinks were bloody excellent so I wouldn't judge anyone for having a different fav amongst their string of stellar albums.

Wow, this song is fantastic. It reminds me a little of Springsteen for some reason.

Lacks Arthur and Preservation acts 1&2.

You missed 28 albums.
And that's not counting live albums.
