I've seen where they refer to them as "ACNE." I've been listening to the album: Kevin Ayers / John Cale / Brian Eno / Nico - June 1, 1974. I came across a song that is vaguely familiar. I rather like it.

Kevin Ayers "Shouting In A Bucket Blues"

^ I was going to mention the same thing, but changed my mind.

Patch it up in strange ways - it's surprising that it can still make noises that nothing else can make."

There was a local guitar store that had a EMS that looked just like that. I forget what they were asking for it. It had some problems, something on it was broken. However I often wonder worth getting. I wish I knew more about it at the time. It's the fish that got away. Anyway, I can coax similar weird sci-fi sounds out of my Korg Monotribe like Eno could make, but it would be nice to own EMS.

This one's going for a mere $20,999. Let us be thankful for the tender twisted mercies of the Korg.

Those letters were good, and shows how even stuffy old Brits couldn't quite resist the silliness of Beatlemania.

Here's a photo of some Byrds in London - pigeons I think:-

( Here's hoping ribbons passes by this thread again and notices the creative pun I came up with for her benefit.)

Without a doubt one of the most attractive minimalist classical/electronic composers. Yair Elazar Glotman playing around with what looks like an old school Buchla at EMS.

Just flat-out stealing this photo from one of Psy-Fi's jazz recommendation posts:

Isn't it a great photo of a romantic musical partnership? Geeky husband and very attractive song-bird of a wife.
For someone singing, she's sure got that white belt cinched tight hasn't she?

If an Americana dictionary was created with just pictures and no words, this picture would inhabit such a book and the book would weigh a ton.

John Prine and Townes Van Zandt
