Why is it that people always use not liking bono as a person as a reason for calling u2 a bad band?...What does any of that have to do with the actual music?, listen to joshua tree and tell me it isn't a amazing record.

Well ok then, i love that album though, and im not even what you call a real big U2 fan, but i dont think they are bad at all, i dont let the ****ty personality of artists effect my opinion of their music, if i did, who would be left?

I always hate the music first.

It just helps when their lead singer is a loathesome publicity seeking whore with awful taste in clothes.

i dont htink that people who like rock are uncool at all. my personal preference is rock, but i respect that other people have different music tastes.
i think bono is an ass. but i also loathe his music because so many times i have heard a beautiful intro (like electrical storm) and then have it ruined by over produced riffs.

that is my reasoning.

however i do think thta bono is good in the sense tat he has done a lot for chairity through his music, which cannot be critised at all. i can respect anyone who can help people through something that people enjoy like music. it is a great gift, and one that i can't help but look at with respect.

i don't hate u2, i just think that everything they did after the 80's is boring, or simply not good music......

Yep, that about sums it up.

AC/DC are overrated by some, they can be annoying, but i don't concider them talentless...They are not virtuosos in terms of skill, Phil Rudd is a extreamly simple drummer and Cliff Williams is the most basic bassist ever...But they help provide AC/DCs special sound nontheless...Their music is guitar based anyway...You certainly can't say Angus and Malcolm are talentless, they're great at trading licks, some great riffs and good solos, bob scott was a great frontman(brian johnson too but not as much)and overall they just had a knack for writing some catchy tunes and some damn good rock songs, i think people dont cut them enough slack simply because they are not fricken dream theater or anything...Its all a matter of taste though, i just had to speak my mind, seeing them next to the likes of ICP is really disturbing.
