Guns N' Roses
I've had an on and off relationship with guns. I've learned to respect there earlier stuff though. I favor there earlier work over there newer stuff mainly because the new guns has none of it's original members besides the keyboardist. From my understanding a lot of people on here hate them.
Nirvana
I was once obsessed with this band like no other and still enjoy them. A lot of people don't like them though I've seen it on this forum and through my interactions with people at school

I remember every time I used to search for Demons and Wizards albums this fucker used to come up, lol

They all look ultra-gay in that pic, aside from the mofo on the right who looks like he's going to gouge my eyes out with a candlestick.

But seriously. Those guys have made some of the best driving albums ever.

They're underrated on this forum too.

The Doors are a hard band to say is either overrated or underrated though, they're like Nirvana in that it goes both ways, a lot of people love them and a lot of people hate them, truly one of the most polarizing rock bands.

Another controversial one is Red Hot Chili Peppers, they have their devoted fanbase and their even more devoted haters.
