I think this is the first time ive listened to Buckethead and while the guy can obvz shred im not really into that kind of progressive rock. the song has alot of good riffs but they sound a bit too formulaic. i really liked the riff around 2:21 though, that one stood out to me as the most memorable one of the song.

It actualy annoys me now due to that and its probably the reason I forgot it for 10 years, I just wanted to see if it was the same for anyone else and it is.


It sounds like if OOIOO was an early 90s grunge band... which is a pretty cool sound. 8/10

Well, that was a novelty. I couldn't figure out if it was more synthpop or sound collage. Weird. 6/10

Here's a cool modern synthpop song. This girl pretty much does everything herself, album art, production, songwriting, performances, music videos, etc.

The structure of the melody seems to go in the right direction, but the vocals waft unnecessarily in the background, even if that's probably by design. That is to say, the vocals were too separated from the back-beat for my tastes. The result of this is that the track is "airy." However, it's not as formulaic as I would've assumed otherwise; there's enough experimentation in the track to prevent it.

Upon first listen and viewing, the lyrics "see you on a dark night" are all that I took away from it, and I would need to investigate the lyrics further in order to pull out different concepts from the song. And visually, the clothing and the boombox are updated, but that, coupled with her hair and some of the participants' flat-billed hats, make things come off like recycled themes from the '80s. Not all of the video does, just some core elements here and there. This is something where I wish the younger generation would form more of their own identity. But maybe I'm gettin' old and can no longer define where decadel (sic) styles are blending anymore. If the kids are still carrying around boomboxes like that, then I take it all back.

Overall, I'll say 6/10, but with repeated listens, so as to get used to it, I can see it going as high as an 8/10. And I know this, because at the end of this sentence, I can still hear the hook "see you on a daaaaaaaaiiark night" in my head.

8/10 Spooky kooky intro and organ(?), driving guitar and drums throughout. Nice solo @ around 3 min mark. Decent. I liked it.

Pretty good, a little too kooky for my liking but still a solid track.

I got about halfway through that before being too bored to continue. Sounds like a post-metal band playing black metal. I hate post-metal. 3/10

I understand this song is held in high regard, but it wasn't something I really enjoyed as I don't really dig grunge all that much. I like the guitar riffs a lot though. 3/10

I like it. There's a nice build-up to this electronic instrumental, and it's energetic. At least based on the picture, I was expecting something a little heavier and more brutal, however. Overall, not bad, even if I felt that it could be at a faster pace than it is. 6/10.

It is amazing just how quick Acid Bath's record company is to removing any of their studio recordings from Youtube, so this will have to do. Not that it's a bad song by any means, but it's just not the song I was listening to. Brilliant song, though.





I have this album on FLAC, but I'm feeling the honest urge to spend money on it. I generally don't bother with albums that I can't find in stores, but this is a special case.
