I like the violin in that Kate Nash song, "Nicest Thing," AwwSugar. The violin was my favorite part. I hope your mood isn't so low this evening. I don't know of any song that matches my mood now. I'm not really feeling much of anything. Is there a song like that? A moodless song?

I was really hoping you would have an opinion on the Kate Rusby song I posted especially the fact that it incorporates Brass which is essential to the song on many levels.

Here is an edited version unfortunately missing a lot of the Brass outro but still beautiful to watch. That woman could sing the phone book and make it sound stunning.

This song still pretty much describes my mood.

I don't know if there's a moodless song. I'll let you know if I find one.

Some mornings, when I'm not totally awake yet, and with one of those "psychotropic sunrises" we have here (I can testify to that), I'm in a daze. And the mood is like...

...and finally like a mere wishful thinking, because reality and the harsh facts come...

This song is complete and utter hopelessness. I didn't pick up on it at first but I was going through Le Tigre's discog today and this was the least happy song on it. It stuck with me.

Default A Band for a mood

idk about you guys but i listen to bands according on my mood..

don't get me wrong, that's not the only criteria they also have to be good lol

like for instance,

sometimes i just want to listen to Mellow stuff to relax abit.. in those times my go to bands are :

GBV (Guided by voices)
The Smiths
Frank Black & the catholics
Fionna apple
Elliot smith

When im in my "Hardcore" mood, i don't really listen to metal per se, just bands that pump me up

The Misfits
SOAD
NOFX
Bad religion

Now, for my Wacky moods, which is like my default mood.. i like bands that are strange but sound good.. bands that have and undertone of being non-sensical but fun

The Pixies
They might be giants
Of Montreal
Deer hoof
Melt banana
Sonic youth

How bout you ppl?

A few days ago I saw this song in a magazine article entitled "50 Songs to Cheer You Up." All of the other songs on the list made sense, so maybe I'm taking these lyrics too literally.

Maybe I'm wrong, but for me, too much Radiohead can be somewhat depressing.
