I'm pretty sure you can gamble at 18, at least to some extent. You can do basically everything at 18 here except drink. I think when I turned 20 the excitement was more about feeling like I was entering a new phase of life.

You can drive at 16 but can't drink til you're 21.
People are responsible enough at the age of 16 to not run people over, but they aren't responsible enough at 18 to drink. I don't get you guys.

Maybe I'll feel differently when I'm about to turn 20 but for now I'm not looking forward to turning 19.

I agree it's dumb. I think most people here think it's dumb. Even dumber is the fact that at 18 you are apparently mature enough to vote but not mature enough to drink.

If you can go vote and join the military, then dammit, you deserve a beer.

You can't enter a casino until you are 21 years old unless it is operated by Native Americans...

I mean what the **** do you guys expect from a garage rock band? The White Stripes do their thing really well and you really can't say they have stayed stagnant their entire career because there are a lot of diverse offerings on Get Behind Me Satan and Icky Thump...

Good music that doesn't bore me. Is that really too much to ask?

Neil Young. I've only listened to Everyone Knows this is Nowhere, but man... the directionless guitars really get on my nerves after the first minute

If you go into any White Stripes album expecting something new and exotic you're either brain dead or clueless. However, Jack White is a tremendous guitarist and Meg White does her job very well, and if you want to hear some great garage rock you're in for a treat.

That said, Icky Thump was more experimental than their others
