On the subject of Beatles covers, one of my favorites is Spooky Tooth's cover of I Am the Walrus. Such a creative reimagining while keeping true to the psychedelic atmosphere.

I love Hawkwind and I love the original version of "Silver Machine", but I think the Alien Sex Fiend version is even better:
