Cover Songs Yay of Nay

I personally love cover songs, for one, they make a difference? Not, what are peoples views here?

Theres a soundtrack to the movie 'I am Sam'

all beetles songs - but all sung by different people.

here on radeo 1, they have 'the live lounge'.

youve got all major bands playing acoustic versions of all types of songs.

like the killers, doing there version of justin timberlakes songs. all guitar and totally original, you could never buy it.

stereophonics doing there version of tatoo's songs.

if anyones interested let me know, ill send you the links to these songs, and i swear, some covers can change your view on ****ty songs.

Amazing.

I'm a fan of cover songs, especially when a band I like covers another band I already like.

gah, rufus wainwright's version was awful compared to buckley's. Jeff buckley's had so much more feeling, way more personal, basically, he made it his song. Wainwright just did a cover, very mediocre, could call it good, but it's certainly not memorable.

dear god you can't be serious. Limp bizkit is possibly the worst band ever to be given a record deal. They took one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest bands of all time and managed to make it sound bland, barely mediocre, and annoying as hell to listen to. How the hell can you like that butchered piece of sh*t they call a cover?

You took the words right out of my mouth, because I say what I type...damn habit...

But why? Why do you like Limp Bizkit's cover-I use that very loosely because a cover is supposed to sound good- more than The Who? The Who wrote the song, played it right, and kept it simple. Limp Bizkit sounds horrible...Thanks I can die and be content with the fact that there are stupid people in the world.

Oh ****ing excellent!

No but really. That whiney peice of crap was going for the sympathy cover when he did that. No one liked him, he covers a great song to get the misunderstood vote, didn't work, now everyone hates him.

Shoulda stopped at "No one liked him".
