I'll probably get my ass jumped for saying this, but Iron Maidens "Aces High" sounds alot better on Children Of Bodoms cover.

Well she was working her way through the members of Take That in the 90s so that doesn`t really surprise me

Red Hot Chili Peppers - love rollercoaster - originally done by the Ohio Players
I rather liked Cradle of Filth's cover of Mr. Crowley *prepares to be beaten up*
Mike Ness - Don't think twice its alright.
metallica- die die my darling
^isn't James a big Misfits fan? I see him wearing one of their shirts a lot in their older band photos
I think so. I know for a fact Cliff was so maybe it goes hand in hand. I've never seen those pictures or maybe I just overlooked it.
Actually Nay, it was Kirk who brought the band alot of punk. I remember readin an interview with James saying "Yeah Kirk used to be really into the misfits ****, and he'd drum it on the dashboard which was scary because he wasn't that great of a driver anyway"
Thanks I never knew that. In the few interviews that Cliff did he mentioned Glen Danzig a lot.
soft cell-tainted love completely smashes the original |
Leatherface - Candle In The Wind
Nothing like having an Elton John song played in the style of Motorhead by a bunch of big fat hairy bikers :D |
death letter - the white stripes
(org. by son house) elanor rigby - thrice (org. by the beatles) |
Tool - No Quarter
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
I hate Michael Jackson's version of it but I love this one especially the guitar in it, simple but catchy:) |
Le tigre - I'm so excited. I Hate the original one but i think Le tigres version is great, more energetic.

I am sure most of you wouldn't agree with me, but I was rather impressed with the cover of "Saturday Night's Alright" by Nickelback and Kid Rock. It was really awesome to hear it done with some heavier drums and bass.
BTBAM "Blackened" >>> Metallica "Blackened"
as a matter of fact, BTBAM outperforms almost all the bands on the songs they re-did for the new album. |
this one probly isnt better, but i like hungry like the wolf - reel big fish
I kind of like Marianne Faithful's cover of Lennon's "Working Class Hero".
Spooky Tooth's version of "I am the Walrus".
Garage Groove inc. did a cover cd on songs by QotSA, and some of them are better than the original. Actually. :)
Shinedown - Simple Man
The Melvins - Smells Like Teen Spirit Peace |
Frou Frou - Holding Out For A Hero
