Three days ago, the country music community lost legendary songwriter Don Schlitz. I can't count the number of songs from him that are my favorites, but this right here is without a doubt my most favorite performance of anything written by him.

P.S. Go here for a list of 50 big songs that were written by Mr. Don. I am surprised that "The Gambler" from the late and legendary Kenny Rogers wasn't labeled the top song.
