Haha wow. They obviously don't have a very broad knowledge of music. There's so much music out there that doesn't have lyrics!

this one is a quote from myself.

"Jazz? lol, it sucks ass. Boringest genre ever. It's been beaten to death. Honestly, who listens to it?" -Little Dayvan Cowboy, circa 2009

I Sure punched myself in the face there

When I was younger, I used to think that about jazz too, and classical, until I started listening to them and learning to appreciate the genres.

"I'm sorry what? Did you say the 50s was the best?? That boring crap. Come on!"

I said this at one point not too long ago in another forum...

And I also have grown to respect Jazz over the years, I think when you are young you don't really have the attention span to appreciate it.

Dumb Kid:"Hey, wanna play in a band?"
Me:"No, i really dislike your taste in music."
DK:"I think it'll work, we can do some of my stuff and some of yours!"
Me:"I really don't think it's gonna work out..."
DK:"It's ok, I'm into some hard stuff too, like John Mayer and Dave Matthews!"
At this point I had a stroke and died immediately.

"I don't really like Muse. They play all of their songs in the same mode." - My stepdad pretending to know anything about music theory. I checked and most artists play music in the same modes. It's made more painful by the fact that he only listens to classic rock and grunge.
