See, Jack, thing is, it's already difficult to recommend music that fits a person's taste, let alone recommend them something out of left field that they'll like, haha. I don't even know my best friends well enough to do that.

I figure that giving them something they don't listen to that you think they'll enjoy is already a great start, and once you find success there, you can continue to branch out?

Well I have to say that this thread is a really, really good idea and maybe the fact that our recommendations to people may be shot to bits because of the idea behind it will deter some but maybe a few posters will find music that they haven't considered before and enjoy it which is immensely satisfying.

Word of warning though. Anybody sending me a Green Day album will be on my shit list forever!

Haha, I'm sure that we're all going to give and receive some bum recs, but I also don't think anybody will be too put off by them to quit the whole cycle. I'm loving this thread. I can't wait to hear from people.
