Default The Electro wave

I wanted to get some thoughts on the Electro wave that's going on right now, and what people thought of it? There was a thread earlier that stated we do not have an "Era" right now like previous generations.. I disagree, because 90% of top 40's music has this feel to it.. I think it's very catch, and the UK has been into it for quite sometimes.

Do you think this is a fad, or just a transition of music into the next generation of digital sounds?

You mean indie synth pop stuff, aka the return of the 80s?

It'll probably get popular for a bit, before the same thing that happened in the 80's happens again and people realise that real instruments sound a lot better.

I'm digging it. Ever since I got into music I was always jelous that the 80s and the new wave movement were behind us, but now it's back and better than ever.

I don't know, there's just something about electronic synths that are more apealing to me than crunchy gutairs.

Any instrument used in Electronic music of course. Electronic instruments are what's known as "fake instruments".

And yes, I definitely notice this wave. I did a comp of one of the harder hitting and aggressive styles in the Beginner's Guide thread.

I would say it can be the next generation of digital sounds. It needs to build a strong base yet but sonner or later it will is what I feel.

a computer/synth/trigger pad is just as much of a "real" instrument than any other instrument out there.
